US Consul General Mike Hankey emphasized the significance of cybersecurity in the bilateral relationship between the US and India, highlighting the need to mitigate cybersecurity threats while promoting global prosperity and stability. The initiative, launched during the MCCIA Pune Business International Business Summit, is timely given the rapid evolution of digital technologies. It aims to establish a mentorship model in cyberspace and strengthen people-to-people ties in the digital realm. Through collaboration with research institutions, industry, and civil society, the initiative seeks to enhance cyber defenses, protect sensitive information, and ensure the secure and prosperous development of IT connections between the two countries.
